Bye Bye Crib…

Hello big boy bed!  This weekend was the weekend!  Since there is a baby brother or sister on the way soon, we decided that it was time for the guest bedroom to be converted into Grant’s big boy room.  We got cute Pottery Barn Kids bedding, a brand new big boy bed, and many cute airplane decorations to make Grant’s new bedroom perfect for a growing toddler!

 

Grant transitioned perfectly from the crib to the toddler bed a few months ago so we figured that this would be no problem.  That night we did our normal bedtime routine but when it was time to get in bed we explained that Grant had a big boy bed waiting for him in his new room.  Then we had a special book to read in bed together!

After the special book, tucking in with the blankies, many hugs and kisses and of course the fishy aquarium being turned on (yes, that made the move too) Grant was ready for his first night in his new room and big boy bed. 

 

Grant slept perfectly that night and we did not hear from him until 7:30 the next morning!  We would call that a successful transition from crib to big boy bed!  Yea!! :)
