Exciting News!

We have exciting news in the Crump household! On Feb. 2nd we found out that Grant is going to be a............
BIG BROTHER!!!
We are so excited! I had my first doctors appointment on Feb 5th to confirm the pregnancy. The doctor said, yes indeed, I was pregnant! She was concerned about my blood pressure though. As many of you know I had to have a c-section with Grant due to high blood pressure issues. So just to air on the side of caution in this new pregnancy she put me on high blood pressure medicine and let me know that she wanted to see me back in 12 days.

2 days ago was that 12 day later appointment and it went great! I was extra excited to find out that I was going to get an ultrasound at that appointment.....a chance to see that new little life inside me! The ultrasound went so well and I was able to see our new little baby and hear it's precious little heartbeat. Praise God! Below is our baby's first ultrasound picture.
The baby is still very small (like a grain of rice) but had a very strong heartbeat. My blood pressure was measuring perfect this time and the doctor was very happy with the way things are progressing. I have been more nauseous with this pregnancy than I was with Grant so that has been interesting, especially with a rambunctious 2 year old to follow around.

Please join us in praying for this precious new life that the Lord has untrusted to us!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Grant had a special treat waiting for him when he woke up this morning....Valentine's treats! Some of his favorite things...Clifford and Elmo books, lollipops and Sesame Street stickers.
He was so excited this morning we he woke up and went to get in his chair to eat breakfast. He kept saying "Elmo, boo-boo (Clifford)" and he wanted to wear the stickers all day!

What fun Valentine's Day memories!

Valentine's Playgroup

I am so blessed to have a sweet group of girls from my church that host a playgroup every week. We usually do things like go out to eat, go to the mall or a park but today was special because it was the Wednesdy before Valentine's Day. So we all gathered at Alicia's house for Valentine's Day party and cookie decorating party. I got Grant all decked out in his "Snoopy" Valentine's shirt and cute red Converse shoes.

For a treat for all of Grant's friends we baked the "Valentine's Puppy" cookies in the below post. When we got to playgroup everyone was ready for some cookie baking and decorating fun!

Grant had so much fun sitting by his friend Rachael, although she didn't like it much when she tried to take his cookie! :)

Grant really liked his cookie! Was there any doubt that he wouldn't? The pink icing was really a hit and he liked licking it off of this fingers. Surprisingly Grant was pretty clean at the end of it all...but that didn't matter. I am just glad that he had a great time with his friends!

Valentines "Puppy" Cookies

I have such a sweet husband who will do anything for me! I needed to make some cookies for our playgroup the next day and he was so sweet and quick to volunteer to help. I found this cute recipe in a magazine for "puppy" cookies that were made out of hearts....perfect for Valentines day.
They turned out super cute! And I was so glad that Matt and I got to spend that time together baking and laughing.
