G-R-A-N-T! Yes sir, Grant can write his name! I am such a proud mommy of such a cute (and smart) little boy!

Big Brother Moments
To be truthful we did now know what to expect from Grant when we brought Charlotte home. He has always been very good natured and laid back about almost everything, so we hoped that adding a little Charlotte to the mix wouldn’t stir up any hard feelings.
Grant has been great! It has been 5.5 months and he has never had an ounce of resentment or jealously towards his little sister. He loves her and is completely enamored by her. Here are a few of my favorite big brother moments so far…
- For the first few months he called her “Ta-toe”…because Charlotte was too hard to say. That has become a nickname for her now. I hope that when she is 16 we all aren’t she calling her Ta-toe!
- He is very concerned when she is crying and will come and get me if he thinks that I don’t hear her. Until I come to see what she is crying about he will sit by her and says “no fussies, no fussies.”
- We have a few books that have a touch and feel aspect to them and he loves to take her hand and ,while we are reading, touch the fluffy bunny or soft petals.
- We have started to feed her solid food and he is very concerned when she is “messy” after eating.
- His new thing is getting into her crib with her. He will sit in her crib and turn on the mobile for her and say “Charlotte likes that!”
- He is always so sweet to her and will go and talk to her when she is laying on the floor or sitting in her chair. He says “Hi Charlotte” and she will give him the biggest smile ever!
It has been such a joy watching these two interact with each other! :)

Charlotte is 5 months old!
Our beautiful girl is five months old! She has changed so much from the last month and is learning new things every day! We are getting loads of smiles and even a few sweet laughs! We are loving her to pieces…we are so so blessed! Here is what you have done this past month:
- you are consistently sleeping all night long. You usually go to sleep around 8:00pm and wake up for a bottle around 5:00 or 6:00am!
- with that said, you do not nap very much during the day. It has been a good nap day if you sleep for a few hours though out the whole day. (I think you are just too excited by everything new to learn!)
- you are “talking” and cooing a lot! You have even started to laugh more often.
- you started solid foods this month. We started with rice cereal which you didn’t care too much for, and moved onto applesauce and pears. You are eating about 1 jar a day and having about 5.5 oz of formula every three hours.
- you got your first real illness, RSV, and ended up in the emergency room having trouble breathing. The doctors worked on you and you ended up getting better within a week. We were so glad.
- you have discovered your toes and love to grab them and roll around.
- you are reaching for and grabbing your toys that hang down from your play mat.
- you are still totally entertained by your big brother. He is so funny and interesting to you.
We can’t explain how much joy this little girl has brought to our lives! We are so blessed by God’s grace!

Movin’ on to Rice Cereal!
This weekend Charlotte tried her first bite of rice cereal. I must admit that i was somewhat putting this off because it just does not seem possible that it is time for that stage yet. But alas, it is! So we got her all suited up in bib and bumbo chair…..
I’m not sure that she even swallowed any but at least we tried! She was pretty happy afterwards though!

First Newborn Practice Photo Shoot
My sweet friend was gracious enough to let me practice my photography on her newborn! Little Miss “A” was as precious as she could be! Since she was only two weeks old she was only interested in sleeping so that was perfect for molding her into different positions. I’m so happy with how the photos turned out! Look at those adorable lips and the scowl on her face! Priceless!
Big Brothers “B” and “B” even got in on the action too! They are smitten with their baby sister and it showed! What a sweet picture!
Thanks “S” family for allowing me to practice with you guys! I had a great time and learned a lot! What a perfect little family! :)
