Third Trimester…here we come!

“A grand adventure is about to begin.”
-Winnie the Pooh

The final countdown has begun….we are getting very excited to meet this special little one that has already stolen our heart.  We are still going to our pregnancy specialist and he is very happy with Charlotte’s growth and my overall pregnancy progress.  Here is our newest ultrasound picture of Charlotte at 28 week.

27 weeks 5 days You can see her eyes, nose and perfect little face in this picture.  Also her little hand off to the left of her face.

Here is my 28 week belly picture too.  I was comparing pictures from when I was pregnant with Grant and I seem to be growing about the same…large!  Ha, whatever is good for this little girl though!

4th of July Festivities

1

“Freedom is nothing but the chance to be better.”

We had such a fun 4th of July weekend this year!  We met Mark, Katie and Wesley at mom and dad’s house in New Braunfels for a relaxing weekend.  Unfortunately dad had to work so it was just mom, better known as Grammy to Grant and Wesley.  It had been a few months since we had seen Wesley and we were surprised at how he had grown!  6 months old is such a cute age so were able to get lots cute pictures of Mister Wesley.

When we got there on Friday the guys went on their guided fishing trip and let the girls and kiddos to hang out at home.  Grant and Wesley loved playing together on the floor with the cars so that was a favorite activity of the weekend.

The pool was also a huge hit all weekend!  Since it was so so hot outside this was fine with everyone.  There were hours and hours of jumping and splashing!

It was Wesley’s first time in the pool  so he enjoyed floating around in the baby floaty.

On Saturday we all got dressed up in our finest Independence Day attire and headed out to the 4th of July parade!

Unfortunately we missed the parade ( it actually started at 9:15am and not 10:00) but we still got some cute family pictures and also got to walk around the town square and hear the Mayor’s speech.

Because it was so dry and so hot outside this year all the firework’s stands in New Braunfels were closed.  But we did get to sit in mom and dad’s front yard and watch the city’s public fireworks display.

This weekend was so fun and we were so glad that we were able to spend it with Mark, Katie, Wesley and mom.

Guy’s Fly Fishing on the Fourth

Matt and Mark had been wanting go on a guided fly fishing trip for some time now, so the July 4th weekend was the perfect time to do so.  This trip was important for both of them because they both had yet to catch a fish on a fly.  So with kayaks, fishing equipment and sunscreen in tow they set out for the San Marcus river.

Within 5 minutes Mark had caught his first fish, a small bass, and Matt had gotten hopelessly tangled up in his fishing line and fallen out of the kayak.  So the day could only get better for Matt.

But it definitely did get better!  Matt and Mark ended up catching about 10 fish each and having a great time on the river that day!

Praise the Lord!!!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11

We had our second doctor’s appointment with the “baby doctor specialist” yesterday to check in baby girl Crump and go over the results of the blood tests.  Matt and I were both very nervous but we knew that this little girl was completely covered in prayer and that it was important that we have faith in our Lord.  We were given the best news ever!  Our little girl’s bowels were completely clear and the echogenicity was gone!!  She was also growing right on schedule and looking great.  The doctor even said that we should not even worry about the blood tests results since the bowel issued had cleared up.

We were so overwhelmed with joy and thankfulness we cannot explain!  The Lord answered our prayers in a big way and we cannot thank Him enough!  Thank you Jesus for being with us and healing our little girl!

Here is my 21.5 weeks pregnancy picture…baby girl is definitely getting bigger in there!  We have also decided on a name, but more on that later!!

Life is good at the beach!

“The warm sand and cool breeze take me back to my childhood days.”

Grant enjoyed his first trip to Galveston beach this weekend!  He called the beach a “big pool” and really enjoyed walking with his toes in the sand and the water splashing around him.  I know that there will be many more beach trips in his future!
