I see "ishes"!!

Grant has always been interested in fish and calls them "ishies". This all started because he has a fish aquarium thing that hangs on his crib and plays music. It is, by far, one of his favorite things! Sometimes we even go to Petsmart just to walk around and look at the fish. so we knew that the aquarium would be a huge hit and it definitely was! Grant loved to run up to the glass and point and laugh at all the fish that would swim by.

At first he was a little timid because the fish were big compared to the ones he has seem before. but by the end of our visit he and the fish were good friends.

Because there was so much to do and look at eating our meal was the lst thing that Grant wanted to sit still and do.

After eating we decided to go on the train ride underwater Shark tour. Grant was very excited to get to ride on an actual train and kept saying "toot-toot" for the train sound. The sharks were pretty impressive too. Although Grant looks more terrified in the below picture! :)

The aquarium was such a fun way to spend a day. It is always so fun to watch your toddler experience things for the very first time!

Let's go out in the rain and jump in the puddles!

With dinosaur boots in tow (which he loves now) we headed outside to do something every little boy loves to do....jump in the puddles!

He had so much fun and did not want to come inside when it was time. Now if it is raining outside Grant will run into his room and look for his "boos" (boots) so he can go outside!

Texas Bluebonnets

The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring.
~Bern Williams~

We are so lucky to live down in the south of Texas where the wildflowers grow abundantly every spring. Along the highways by our house are the most beautiful collection of bluebonnets and it seems like a tradition for many, us included, to take pictures of our families and kids in the bluebonnets. Last year Grant was only 6 months old and sat in the flowers so nicely and smiled for the camera. This year was quite different! Our rambunctious almost two-year old wanted nothing to do with sitting in the flowers for a pretty picture for mommy. We did end up with a few good pictures so overall the day was a success.

My new love....my new camera!

Everyone knows that I have the cutest son evee so why not get a better camera to capture every cute moment! That is exactly what we did! We got a Canon Rebel Digital XSI and let me tell you it has exceeded my expectations. We decided to try it out on Grant at bathtime and he was the perfect model!

What is better than a lollipop?

An extra large lollipop!

Back to the Houston Zoo and one picture!

Recently it was such a beautiful day outside that we decided to take Grant to the Houston Zoo again. The last time that we went Grant was about 6 months old so this time was significantly different. He no longer needed to be in his stroller consantly and like to run around and name all he animals that he saw. He was most impressed with the baby giraffe and learned to say "giraffe" that day. Unfortunately we were so busy chasing after Grant that we only got one picture the whole day. But it is a good one......

Here is Grant in the bird's nest (20 months old)

Compared to last year (6 months).

Too cute!

Exciting News!

We have exciting news in the Crump household! On Feb. 2nd we found out that Grant is going to be a............
BIG BROTHER!!!
We are so excited! I had my first doctors appointment on Feb 5th to confirm the pregnancy. The doctor said, yes indeed, I was pregnant! She was concerned about my blood pressure though. As many of you know I had to have a c-section with Grant due to high blood pressure issues. So just to air on the side of caution in this new pregnancy she put me on high blood pressure medicine and let me know that she wanted to see me back in 12 days.

2 days ago was that 12 day later appointment and it went great! I was extra excited to find out that I was going to get an ultrasound at that appointment.....a chance to see that new little life inside me! The ultrasound went so well and I was able to see our new little baby and hear it's precious little heartbeat. Praise God! Below is our baby's first ultrasound picture.
The baby is still very small (like a grain of rice) but had a very strong heartbeat. My blood pressure was measuring perfect this time and the doctor was very happy with the way things are progressing. I have been more nauseous with this pregnancy than I was with Grant so that has been interesting, especially with a rambunctious 2 year old to follow around.

Please join us in praying for this precious new life that the Lord has untrusted to us!
